Winner of Carisch "New sounds of acoustic music 2011" 1st award, Lorenzo Favero is a guitarist, guitar teacher and session-man.

 

Graduated with honors in  Conservatory of Parma, with full marks in Conservatory of Alessandria and with full marks in Art, Music and entertainement University of Turin, Lorenzo started playing guitar aged 14, and during the years he won many Italian national competitions and television contests.

He also participated in many acoustic guitar festivals both as an artist and as demonstrator, sharing the stage with great guitar players such as Don Ross, Franco Morone, Frank Vignola, Massimo Varini and Bermuda Acoustic trio.

He collaborates with the most important italian guitar-teaching web portal "lezioni-chitarra.it", writing articles about fingerstyle guitar.

In 2010 he took part in Nico Di Battista’s discographic project “ Nuovi segnali Acustici”, recording  two of his original tunes.

​

In 2011 he won the "New sounds of acoustic music" 1st award as the best new italian emergent guitarist.

 

In December 2012 he released his first official solo album "Skylines".

 

In 2013 Lorenzo presented his album in many cities among which Frankfurt, during the MUSIKMESSE 2013.

 

In October 2013 he moved in Parma to study Jazz/Pop guitar at “Arrigo Boito” Conservatory with Luca Colombo.

In Parma, Lorenzo worked as live and studio musician with many rock/pop bands and singers and continued performing Solo and giving guitar lessons.

 

In September, 19 2014 he performed as guitarists and singer in the show “Faber”, under the artistic direction of jazz singer Rossana Casale: the show was advertised in Fabrizio De Andrè foundation's official website.

​

In May 2015 he played with Rossana Casale as acoustic and electric guitarist, in a tribute-concert for Pino Daniele.

 

In September 2015 he was invited by Parma Conservatory to perform one of his original soundtracks at Parma International film festival.

 

In June 2016 he took part as electric and acoustic guitarist in “10 Diamonds from the ‘80”, a big concert in the center of Parma dedicated to the music of ’80, under the artistic direction of Maurizio Campo.

 

In 2016 he realized his second album “Seize the day”, which include both solo acoustic fingestyle solo tunes and some “ acoustic-pop” tunes arranged with Paul Zogno on bass and Claudio Miele on drums.

In 2017 he collaborated with BMW Italia, recording guitars for a commercial spot soundtrack.

​

In 2017 and 2018 he worked as Resident  Guitarist ( both electric and acoustic) in a 5 stars resort in Maldives, with italian band " The Riffs".

​

In 2018 he graduated with full marks in BLAV ( Advanced Blues course by Massimo Varini).

 

Between June and July 2019 he participated together with guitarist Andrea Valeri in the festivals "Un paese a sei corde" and "A.D.G.P.A XIV Guitar International Rendez-vous 2019".

​

In 2020 he graduated with full marks in Conservatory of Alessandria with a specialistic degree in Didactics of the instrument.

​

In 2020 he starts the collaboration with Valkos music and cinema production, with guitarist and composer Andrea Valeri and many other professional musicians.

​

In the end of 2020 he realized his third album "Dreamcatcher", recorded in his home studio during 2020 lockdown, and mixed and mastered in Copenaghen by Casper Esmann.

​

During the years he collaborated, as acoustic and electric guitarist,  with several artists such as Frank Vignola, François Sciortino, John Doan, Nico Di Battista, Dodi Battaglia ( Pooh), Rossana Casale, Tommy Emanuel,  Bermuda Acoustic Trio, Night riders blues gang, Sunny boys, Valentina Tesio, Franco Fasano, , Mark Harris, Michele Ascolese, Ivan Ciccarelli, Andrea Scagliarini, Paul Zogno, Claudio Miele, Marco Rivagli, Gut Reaction, Fuori Onda band, Stevia, Alfonso Oliver, Cristina Karim, Max Gulliver, BMW Italia, The Riffs, Andrea Valeri Eurorchestra, Marco Garau, Vito Perrini, Stefania Tasca and many others.
